Fireproof Footsteps
In the book of Daniel there’s a story of three men of faith. They were thrown into a fiery furnace, but came out without a trace. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had them thrown into a furnace but when he discovered them walking around in the flames, he ordered them removed, because he didn’t want the blame. They were obviously God’s chosen, and Nebuchadnezzar feared God’s scorching retribution.
I want to be like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego with a faith and love so strong that I could walk through fire. I want to be like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego with God’s almighty love living in my heart.
The story of Daniel in the lion’s den is similar to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. King Darius passed a law that Daniel wouldn’t keep, into the lion’s den Daniel went, but not one scratch did he receive. The King released Daniel the very next day, once again a faith so strong that God had rescued him.
I want to be like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego with a faith and love so strong that I could walk through fire. I want to be like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego with God’s almighty love living in my heart. I want to be Daniel in the lion’s den, with my faith tested and verified, a proven child of God and his son Jesus Christ.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego I want my faith as strong as theirs, Daniel rescued from the lion’s jaws, a faith so strong and pure. I give myself to you Lord Jesus, my heart, my mind and soul. I need you every single day, Dear Lord, please save me from satan’s lure.
