When you wake up in the morning ( Morning rush, hurried thoughts
What’s the first thing that you do? No time to love the Lord
Do you kneel and thank your Jesus He needs you to stop and know
For the night you just slept through He wants to be your shield and sword
Or do you always hurry
So anxious to start your day He wants to restore your soul
Not noticing the peacefulness Remove all of your hurts and pains
God offers on your way All your sadness can be gone
No more morning rush again.)
Are you infected with the morning rush?

Don’t just wander aimlessly
In your routine of woe
God wants to be a part of you
Wherever you may go
So take the time before your day
To read Gods holy word
Talk to Him and listen close
Prepare to share what your heart has heard.
Don’t get infected with the morning rush.
Verse 3
Talk to God as you leave your home
Ask for His protection and grace.
Pray for all your loved ones
For life is such a race.
Sing His praises, call His name
Feel His presence around you
He will follow you through the day
His angels will surround you

Verse 4
Notice all the others, drowned
In noise and meaningless chatter
Being so busy with those worldly things
That really do not matter
Pray for others that you see
Too busy to feel God’s touch
Be a light – a loving guide
For those infected… with the morning rush.
